BOE, which angered Apple by arbitrarily adjusting panel specifications, sent samples of iPhone 14 OLED panels to Apple for review

Offending Apple is not so easy to restore the relationship, because of the iPhone 13 turmoil, this time BOE is expected to only supply Apple with about 5 million OLED panels.

Apple’s iPhone 14, this year’s annual model, is already preparing for mass production, and China’s panel factory BOE seems to be particularly nervous due to the previous incident of arbitrarily adjusting the panel specifications. According to TheElec,Apple will begin reviewing the prototype iPhone 14 OLED panel samples sent by BOE this week.BeijingWhether Dongfang can supply screens for the iPhone 14 this year seems to be a matter of success or failure.

At the same time, Samsung and LG Display have both received Apple’s nod and are starting to produce the screens required for the iPhone 14 series.

BOE was previously suspended by Apple for adjusting the thin-film transistor line width of the iPhone 13 OLED panel. However, it is said that after the follow-up communication between the high-level and Apple, BOE still won the opportunity to supply the iPhone 14, and the supply of the iPhone 13 has also begun to resume.

However, it is not so easy to restore the relationship after offending Apple. Because of the turmoil of the iPhone 13, this time BOE is expected to supply only about 5 million OLED panels for Apple.

According to a previous Omdia research report, in this generation of iPhone 14 series, BOE will only be involved in the supply of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 screen (bangs screen), while the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus and 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro will be exclusively supplied by Samsung, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro will be exclusively supplied by Samsung. The inch iPhone 14 Pro Max is dual-supplied by Samsung and LG.
