That’s why it’s always a good idea to carry items and equip spells that can cure these ailments. Lucidity is such a sorcery that is made to cure status effects, and in this guide we will tell you where you can round it off.

Lucidity is a ritual that requires 17 Intelligence to cast. It mitigates the stacking of Madness and Sleep status effects.

Lucidity’s item description reads:

One of the sorceries of the Carian royal family. Relieves accumulation of sleepiness and craziness. This ritual can be cast while moving. Carian knights never waver.

Where to find Lucidity

Lucidity can be obtained by defeating Tutor Miriam in the Carian Study Hall in Liurnia of the Lakes, but only after it has been reversed. If you don’t know how to invert the Study Hall, you’ll need to follow our Ranni the Witch quest guide until you reach the point where you’ll get your hands on the Inverted Statue of Carian.

Carian Study Room

Take the Carian Inverted Statue back to the Carian Study Room and place it on the desk in the middle of the main room. This will invert the entire study hall and allow you to access its secrets.

After passing through the nearby opening, you will meet Preceptor Miriam. She is a powerful enemy to face, as she can throw magic at you that will hurt you a lot. Due to the other enemies scattered around the area that will give you trouble during the fight, just try to stay back and damage it from a distance. When she finally drops, you’ll get Lucidity for your efforts.
