Atlus has had countless JRPGs with a proven formula that works with their RPGs over the years. That formula has seen many variations in different games in different franchises and sub-series. the next game Soul Hackers 2 hopes to launch another sub-series as a flagship Atlus franchise, and combining elements of Shin Megami Tensei Y Personthere is much that has caught the attention of the title
One of those things, of course, is its combat, and Atlus has released yet another lengthy new trailer focused entirely on that gameplay mechanic. The nearly eight minute long trailer shows Victor, who owns the Cirque du Goumaden in the game and will be your go-to for all demon melds, goes over various aspects of the game’s combat. The trailer is entirely in Japanese, but there’s a lot shown here that those looking forward to the game will want to see.
Recently on their official website, Atlus also released an update confirming some technical details for the current gen version of the game.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X, Soul Hackers 2 It will feature two graphics modes: Performance mode, which will favor 60 FPS frame rates, and Graphics mode, which will favor 4K resolution. It hasn’t been confirmed what the resolution will be in Performance mode and the frame rate in Graphics mode, and Atlus hasn’t provided any details on what Xbox Series S gamers can expect either.
Soul Hackers 2 launches August 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Atlus recently also detailed the game’s graphics modes on current-gen consoles. You can see the trailer below.
