Street Fighters VI will be playable at Japan Expo 2022

After shunning Xbox for a generation, the license street fighters will be back on Series X|S. With Street Fighters VI, Capcom intends to seduce the whole world and bring back its most popular Versus Fighting game title on home consoles. And if you are one of those who would like to quickly test the beast then the Japan Expo 2022 could well interest you. The next game from the Japanese developer will indeed be available there and playable for the first time in Europe!

For this first public outing, Street Fighters VI will offer players four characters. We will thus find the legends Ryu and Chun-Li, accompanied by the new figures of the license: Jamie and Luke. The opportunity to verify that the sensations are still present and to discover the novelties of the title. Starting with the new real-time commentary system which should offer us a cast at the level of pro tournaments at each game!

Another novelty that you can discover on site: the new types of controls. Street Fighters VI will indeed introduce a simplified handling for new players of the license. In this formula, forget the quarter circles and other complex manipulations, it will be enough to associate a direction with a key to release a Hadoken and other Sonic Boom. A simpler approach to reach a new audience which should not, however, scare away connoisseurs of the genre. Street remains Street and the classic controls will of course always be there.

As a reminder, Japan Expo 2022 will take place from Thursday July 14 to Sunday July 17. Capcom is also planning a unique presentation of Street Fighters VI on the scene, Saturday July 16 from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. This presentation will be provided by recognized players such as Norman Gen1us, Luffy or Bob Lennon.
